Poor Indonesia! Now there has been a tsunami to pile on top

A tsunami has hit a group of islands in western Indonesia, south-east Asia, leaving over 100 people dead and hundreds more missing.

Waves as high as three metres swept away ten villages on the Mentawai islands, say officials.

Those missing include a group of Australian surfers who were travelling on a boat in the area.

The tsunami was triggered by an underwater earthquake late on Monday, which measured 7.7 magnitude.
